Atlanta food distributor lays off 150 workers to outsource warehouse operations

A food distributor is closing its Atlanta warehouse, causing 151 people to lose their jobs.  

Sherwood Food Distributors, headquartered in Detroit, plans to move its warehouse operations to a third-party logistics company, according to a Feb. 22 letter sent to the state through the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.  

The layoffs will happen around April 25, according to the letter.
