When Nancy Flake Johnson approached her 50th birthday, she sensed she wanted to do more with her life, especially to help Black people.
“It just came on me,” she said.
Fueled with a new sense of purpose, Johnson quickly got to work.
First, with the Urban League of her native Detroit, and then in 2008, she became president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta.
Fifteen years in, Johnson remains motivated, perhaps even more than at the start.
