More than six years ago, Calvin Watts left his post as assistant superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) to become superintendent of Kent School District in Washington state. Last summer, Watts returned to GCPS, the largest school district in Georgia and 12th largest in the country, to be its superintendent.
